PPP will welcome back Nadeem Afzal Chan
Nadeem Afzal Chan, a former adviser to Prime Minister Imran Khan and a senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf politician, has opted to rejoin the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP).
According to sources, Nadeem Afzal and PPP have reached an agreement. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will meet Nadeem Afzal at his home tomorrow to declare his affiliation with the party.
According to the sources, Nadeem Afzal Chan would board the PPP’s Long March container after meeting Bilawal Bhutto. He had recently resigned from his government jobs.
The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) also wanted Nadeem Afzal to join their party, according to sources. After assessing the issue, the former PM spokesperson has decided to return to PPP.
Chan used to be a PPP backbencher, but when he began loyally supporting the party on TV talk shows, the party’s major MPs took notice.
