After protesters storm Sindh House, Police Arrest two PTI MNAs and several others.

The charged workers of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) barged into Sindh House after breaking the main gate on Friday, amid rising political tensions in the country following the opposition’s submission of a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan.

This comes after PTI workers staged a protest outside Sindh House in the federal capital’s Red Zone area.

PTI workers staged a sit-in outside Sindh House. Demonstrators broke down the gate and stormed inside Sindh House, turning the protest violent.

Faheem Khan, a PTI MNA from Karachi who was also present at the protest outside Sindh House, said that the people voted for them because of Imran Khan, and that the deserters were traitors.

He also threatened dissident members of the ruling Pakistan People’s Party (PTI) who were staying inside Sindh House.

Attaullah Khan, a PTI MNA, claimed that disgruntled PTI members were elected because of Imran Khan, and that the ruling party’s workers will go after potential deserters.

He said the deserters should return and apologise to the Prime Minister, and that if they have any grievances, they should resign and run for office.

Workers have been detained.

Later, police reacted by arresting two PTI MNAs, Attaullah Niazi and Faheem Khan, as well as several others.

Sindh House is visited by JUI-F volunteers.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) volunteers, on the other hand, have arrived at Sindh House to confront the charged PTI workers.

“Our volunteers will be present where there is lawlessness,” JUI-F spokesperson Aslam Ghauri said, adding that groups of hooligans were being entered into the red zone under police surveillance.

PTI hooliganism, according to Ghauri, will be dealt with in all circumstances.

He ordered Rawalpindi and Islamabad workers to return to Islamabad immediately, saying that the government would be held responsible if any workers were injured.
