Nowadays, Farah Khan, the first lady’s closest friend, is being mentioned in Pakistan’s politics. Opposition parties and key leaders, including Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and Maryam Nawaz, have accused Farah Khan of corruption.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had said last week that he was aware that a character assassination campaign would be launched in the coming days about him and especially about his wife’s friend Farah Khan.
Who is Farah Khan?
Who is Farah Khan who is considered to be the most powerful woman and how and how old is her relationship with first lady Bushra Bibi?
Farah Khan’s name first appeared in the media when news of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s third marriage started coming in January 2018. Local media in Pakistan reported that PTI Chairman Imran Khan got married to Bushra Bibi on January 1 in DHA area of ??Lahore. The brief marriage ceremony was held at the house of Farah Khan, a friend of Bushra Bibi.
Initially, the PTI leadership called the news a hoax. However, a month later, the PTI released some pictures. In one such wedding photo, Farah Khan was seen standing behind the newlyweds.
At that time, he was introduced as a close friend of Bushra Bibi. However, Farah Khan’s name began to appear regularly in the Pakistani media in August 2018 after the formation of the PTI government in Pakistan.
Farah Khan is the wife of Ahsan Jamil Gujjar, a businessman. The couple’s names first surfaced in the first month of the PTI government when Ahsan Jamil Gujjar was accused of replacing then-DPO Pakpattan Rizwan Gondal.
Pakpattan incident
According to a report submitted in October 2018 by Mehr Khaliq Dadlak, Chief of National Counter Terrorism Authority (NCTA) in the Supreme Court of Pakistan, Police stopped Khawar Manika family at a check post in Pakpattan on the night between 23rd and 24th August. ? He had a heated argument with the police. On the same night, the Chief Minister’s Office issued orders to replace DP Pakpattan Rizwan Gondal.
The then Chief Justice Saqib Nisar took notice of the incident and Farah Khan’s husband Ahsan Jamil Gujjar sought an unconditional apology from the court and vowed not to interfere in future government affairs.
Farah Khan was still mentioned in the Pakistani media along with Ahsan Jameel because she was the first lady’s closest friend. Ahsan Jamil also told the Supreme Court that he was a close friend of Manika’s family and also the breadwinner of Khawar Manika’s children.
