Imran Khan and Shehbaz Sharif’s audio tapes were leaked by who?
On Twitter and other social media sites, the leaked audios of Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Imran Khan, the chairman of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, have gone viral. Who is responsible for the audio leaks, one wonders?
Big questions about the nation’s security situation are being raised in the wake of a conversation between federal ministers, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, going viral on social media. Azam Khan and Imran Khan’s private discussion on social media also attracted attention.
Leaked PM audio and a significant question mark
Maryam Nawaz is heard pleading with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif to raise the price of petroleum products in a recent audio clip that has gone viral on social media. The Prime Minister’s discussion of Maryam Nawaz’s son-in-law is also audible in the audio clip.
Four key questions came up in this situation: Was the Prime Minister’s House so poorly guarded that it was so simple to overhear what was being said there? The second concern was whether, in light of the audio leaks, a meeting on the subject of national security could be held in the Prime Minister’s House.
The third query was whether an in-camera policy-making meeting would allow the government and the prime minister to express their satisfaction. The fourth query was whether such covert recording devices exist in the Prime Minister’s House but are unknown to federal ministers and cabinet members.
Imran Khan audio that was leaked
The former prime minister Imran Khan’s conversation with his personal secretary Azam Khan was captured on audio today, and it was also leaked on social media. A man can be heard discussing the cypher that Khan has repeatedly claimed mentions the “threat” to overthrow his government in the audio that purports to be him.
Khan allegedly said to Azam in the audio, whose date is currently unknown, “let’s just play” with the cypher and not mention America.
The Tehreek-e-claim Insaf’s that Imran Khan was removed from power by an American conspiracy is explicitly stated in the clip to present the cypher as a conspiracy, assuming the above Imran Khan audio is accurate.
investigation findings
Concerned about the allegedly leaked audio of himself and the Principal Secretary, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared the creation of a high-level investigation committee. According to the prime minister, such security lapses raise concerns.
He claimed that anyone visiting the Prime Minister’s House would assume the conversation was being recorded. This is a matter of honour for 22 crore Pakistanis. In his conversation with Maryam Nawaz, he claimed not to have brought up diamonds or jewellery.
Who spread the video online?
The identities of those responsible for spreading popular audio clips of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, and others from the Prime Minister House have not been made public to date. Similar to this, it is currently unknown who leaked the Imran Khan audio clip.
The alleged hacker recently asserted that Pakistan is in talks with the government to stop the leaks and that the government wants to stop further leaks and is negotiating. The hacker had previously threatened to release more government audio by September 30.
The hacker, however, also asserted that the Intelligence Bureau (IB) was meddling in the talks. The government was advised not to postpone the talks through the IB by the alleged hacker.
It appears that the individuals or groups responsible for the Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Maryam Nawaz’s audio clips going viral on social media are also responsible for the leak of Imran Khan’s audio, as these kinds of audios continue to occasionally surface in the public domain. The security situation has deteriorated severely, necessitating immediate action from the government.
