Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Wan Azizah Wan Ismail has urged Pakistan to use cricket diplomacy for promoting bilateral relations and consider Malaysia as a second destination for organizing cricket matches. Her statements came while Speaking at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) award ceremony in Kuala Lumpur.

She expressed hope that by organizing sports events such world cup would create new opportunities for promoting business linkages between private sectors of both the countries.

Malaysia is keen to deepen bilateral trade and investment relations with Pakistan as both countries have great potential to cooperate with each other in many fields, she added.

Speaking on the occasion, ICCI President Ahmed Hassan Moughal said the chamber organized the event to promote business linkages between private sectors of the two countries and recognise the contribution of top-performing businesses of Islamabad at the international level.
