Moulana Fazlur, Nawaz Sharif discuss number game for no-confidence motion against PM
Maulana Fazlur, chairman of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) and chief of the Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F), and former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif spoke on the phone on Saturday.
The telephonic talk covered topics such as the no-confidence move against Prime Minister Imran Khan and bilateral relations.
The leaders also reviewed the present political scenario in the country and expressed pleasure with the number game around the no-confidence motion.
According to sources close to the situation, Fazlur Rehman and Nawaz Sharif have agreed to depose the government as soon as possible in order to save the country from the current administration.
Prime Minister Imran Khan had earlier in the day stated that “all friends are with us” and that “the opposition should fulfil its objective for a no-confidence motion.”
Members of the National Assembly from the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), including Riaz Fatyana and Nasrullah Dareshk, met with Prime Minister Imran Khan, according to reports. The meeting took place the day before yesterday. The gathering was also attended by federal ministers.
