Justin Bieber was slammed by People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) for purchasing two exotic Savannah kittens – Sushi and Tuna – for $35000. Read below to know how the I Don’t Care singer reacted to PETA’s questions.
It was towards the end of August 2019 when Justin and Hailey Baldwin bought the two kittens, who they named Sushi and Tuna. While one kitten was purchased for $20000, the other kitten was purchased for $15000.
Lisa Lange, PETA Senior Vice President told People magazine that instead of inspiring the Beliebers all around the world to save a life by adopting a cat from a local animal shelter, the 25-year-old singer is instead “fueling the dangerous demand for hybrid cats, contributing to the animal overpopulation crisis, and proving that when it comes to helping animals, his stance so far is ‘I don’t care.’”
