Farah Khan has made the decision to return to Pakistan.

Farhat Shahzadi alias Farah Khan and her husband Jameel Gujjar have decided to return to Pakistan on May 10 to challenge the National Accountability Bureau’s (NAB) authority to investigate money-laundering allegations against them.

Farah Khan, a close friend of ex-prime minister Imran Khan’s wife Bushra Bibi, is returning to Pakistan, according to sources, to challenge NAB’s jurisdiction to investigate an anti-money laundering case against her.

Meanwhile, a NAB Lahore spokesperson confirmed that Farah Khan’s case is being investigated by the anti-graft watchdog. He stated that the authority could launch an investigation into any public office holder or his or her family in cases of corruption or financial malpractice.

Farah Khan’s husband served as chairman of the Gujranwala District Council from 1997 to 1999, according to the spokesperson.

He also stated that the NAB will conduct an open investigation into Farah Khan’s case under the Anti-Money Laundering Act. He stated that the investigation into Farah Khan has been referred to NAB Lahore by NAB headquarters.
